=== Golden State Warriors Team Report - January 23 ===

(Basketball News) - The Golden State Warriors were defeated by Pacific Division rival Seattle, 103-87, on Thursday at KeyArena.

Mike Dunleavy had 18 points and a game-high 11 rebounds as Golden State suffered its second straight loss and third in four tries. Speedy Claxton also had 18 points and Avery Johnson added 14 for the Warriors, who suffered their 12th straight setback on the road.

The SuperSonics jumped out to a 7-0 lead and never looked back. Seattle later pushed its lead to 26-10 on a Rashard Lewis basket and carried a 29-14 cushion into the second quarter.

Vladimir Radmanovic hit a three-pointer midway through the second quarter to extend the margin to 38-20. Golden State kept pace for some time but eventually trailed by a 51-35 score at the break.

Seattle grabbed its largest lead of the game at 70-49 on a pair of free throws by Jerome James with less than three minutes to go in the third quarter. The Sonics then led, 74-55, after 36 minutes of play.

The fourth quarter was garbage time for most Seattle players, while the Warriors tried to trim the lead. Ronald Murray’s field goal with five minutes to go in the game made it 92-72 and Seattle cruised to the lopsided victory.

Dunleavy is averaging 17.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in his last two games.

The Warriors are off until Saturday when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers.
