(Basketball News) - The Golden State Warriors start a two-game homestand on Monday, as they welcome Tracy McGrady and the Houston Rockets to The Arena in Oakland.
It will be the second meeting of the season between the clubs. On December 17th, the Rockets knocked off the Warriors, 100-83, at the Toyota Center. With the win, Houston snapped a two-game series losing streak. The teams will once more in the 2004-05 campaign, as the Warriors will host the Rockets on April 5th at The Arena in Oakland.
The home team has won five straight contests in this series. The Rockets have won four of six and seven of the last 10 meetings. Houston has lost two straight after winning its last 15 at Golden State.
The Warriors will host the Sacramento Kings on Thursday in the finale of the homestand. Golden State is 1-1 against Sacramento this season and will visit the Kings on Sunday at ARCO Arena in the final meeting of the 2004-05 campaign between the clubs.
After Thursday’s game, Golden State will travel to Phoenix to face the explosive Suns on Friday at America West Arena. The Warriors are 0-2 against the Suns and will host them on April 8th in the last contest of the campaign between the squads.
On Saturday, Jason Richardson and Mike Dunleavy both scored 22 points to lead Golden State to a 105-92 win over the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena. Baron Davis added 20 points and eight assists, while Derek Fisher had 15 points and eight rebounds for the Warriors, who concluded a season-high eight-game road trip with a 4-4 record on the swing.
The Warriors are 8-19 in games decided by 10 points or more this season. Golden State is 11-18 as the host and is 3-7 in its last 10 at The Arena in Oakland.
Richardson has scored in double-digits in 52 of the 54 games that he has played in this season. He leads the Warriors in scoring (22.6 ppg) and is second on the team in rebounds (6.0 rpg).
