(Basketball News) - The red hot Warriors pushed their season-high winning streak to seven games Sunday, as they posted a 105-77 thrashing of the Los Angeles Clippers at The Arena in Oakland.
Jason Richardson finished with 20 points, six rebounds and six assists, while Erick Dampier contributed 16 points and a career-high 25 rebounds in the dominating win. Golden State hasn’t lost since March 13 in New Orleans.
Mike Dunleavy posted 16 points and seven assists for the Warriors, who posted their sixth consecutive win at home. Dampier pulled down 13 offensive boards, as the Warriors won the rebounding war, 53-40.
Mickael Pietrus added 17 points for Golden State, which became the first team in NBA history to win seven straight after losing nine in a row.
Golden State, which improved to 3-6 on Sunday this season, has allowed less than 90 points in each of its games during the winning streak.
The Warriors’ seven-game winning streak is their longest since posting eight straight victories in April 1994. Golden State has won the seven contests by an average of 16 points.
Golden State will look to continue its hot streak Tuesday night in Philadelphia. The Warriors will be beginning a four-game road trip in the City of Brotherly Love. On the season, Golden State is just 8-27 in foreign buildings.
