=== Golden State Warriors Team Report - March 8 ===

(Basketball News) - The Golden State Warriors visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday at the Wachovia Center.

Philadelphia posted a 112-104 victory over the Warriors at The Arena in Oakland on January 3rd. The Sixers have won two straight after losing the previous three meetings. Golden State has lost five of its last six trips to Philadelphia.

Golden State had a two-game win streak halted on Sunday, as it fell 115-99 to the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Jason Richardson paced the Warriors with 24 points and Troy Murphy added 23 points and 10 rebounds in the contest.

Baron Davis added 13 points off the bench, while Mike Dunleavy chipped in 11 points. The Warriors shot 46 percent in the contest, including 12-of-26 (.462) from three-point range. Golden State hit 15-of-24 (.625) from the charity stripe.

The Warriors were outrebounded, 41-30, against the Knicks in the losing effort. Golden State committed just eight turnovers in the contest.

Golden State, which is in the midst of a season-high eight-game road trip, is 7-23 in foreign buildings. The Warriors have lost 13 of their last 17 road contests. During its current road swing, Golden State has split four games. This is the franchise’s longest road trip since moving from Philadelphia in 1962.

Richardson has scored more than 20 points in eight straight games and is averaging 27.5 points and 5.8 rebounds in that span. The Michigan State product has played 40 or minutes in five of the eight eight contests.

The Warriors will visit the defending world champion Detroit Pistons on Wednesday at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Earlier this season, the Pistons defeated Golden State, 94-88, at The Arena in Oakland.

After playing the Pistons, Golden State will play the Indiana Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse on Friday and the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday at Philips Arena in the finale of the season-high road trip.

Golden State enters the game against Philadelphia with a 2-2 record on the swing.
