(Basketball News) - The Warriors came up short on Friday, dropping a 104-98 decision to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Brian Cardinal scored a career-high 24 points for Golden State, which has lost two of its last three games.
For the first time since 1976, a father coached against his son in an NBA game. Clippers head coach Mike Dunleavy faced his son, Mike Dunleavy, Jr., a forward for the Warriors.
The last time a player for the opposing NBA team faced his father was when New Orleans Jazz coach Butch van Breda Kolff coached against the New York Nets on November 9, 1976. His son, Jan van Breda Kolff, scored six points for New York that night.
The Warriors signed forward Sean Lampley on Friday. Lampley had 11 points and six points in 15 minutes of action in his debut.
Golden State will return to the court on Sunday afternoon against the Sacramento Kings at ARCO Arena.
