(Basketball News) - The Golden State Warriors lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers, 99-88, on Monday at Gund Arena.
Jason Richardson scored 27 points to lead the Warriors, who have dropped seven of their first eight games. Derek Fisher added 15 points and seven assists off the bench as Golden State ended a five-game road trip 1-4.
Clifford Robinson had 13 points and Mike Dunleavy tallied 11 points, seven assists and six rebounds in Monday’s loss for the Warriors. The Cavs outscored the Warriors 42-26 in the paint. Cleveland has won 10 of its 11 games at home versus the Warriors.
Fisher has averaged 9.9 points and a team-high 4.9 assists in Golden State’s first eight games of the year. He has registered 8.5 assists in his last two contests.
The Warriors are off until Wednesday when they start a four-game homestand against the Chicago Bulls. Golden State will also host the Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Hornets and Los Angeles Clippers on the stand.
