Grizzlies battling for playoff positioning

The playoff-bound Grizzlies play the opener of a brief two-game road trip on Wednesday when they visit the Charlotte Bobcats. It is the second and final meeting of the campaign between the squads. Memphis has won all three contests in this series and is 1-0 as the visitor against the Bobcats.

The Grizzlies play the first of a brief two-game road trip against the Bobcats. On Tuesday, Pau Gasol had 19 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to lead the Grizzlies over the Minnesota Timberwolves, 92-76, at FedExForum.

Chucky Atkins netted 17 and Bobby Jackson ended with 16 points for Memphis, which has won four of its last five games overall.

The Grizzlies are 16-22 on the road this season. They are scheduled to visit the Houston Rockets on Saturday at the Toyota Center.

Memphis closes out the regular season with a home game against the Clippers on April 18th and road contest on April 19th at Minnesota.
