Harpring, who has undergone a pair of knee surgeries in the last 2 1/2 years, averaged 12.5 points and 5.2 rebounds in 71 games last season. He missed time at the start of the year while recovering from offseason knee surgery.
For his career, the eight-year veteran has averaged 13 points and 5.9 rebounds in 449 career games for Orlando, Cleveland, Philadelphia and Utah. The Georgia Tech product was the 15th overall selection in the 1998 NBA Draft by the Magic.
