Hawks face Bobcats at Philips Arena

(Basketball News) - The Atlanta Hawks will try to end a three-game losing streak tonight when they host the Charlotte Bobcats at Philips Arena.

Friday’s game is the fourth and final meeting of the season between Charlotte and Atlanta. The Bobcats lead the season series 2-1 and have won four of the last five matchups against the Hawks.

Charlotte also has won two straight at Philips Arena.

The Hawks suffered their third straight loss on Wednesday in a 96-90 setback to the Chicago Bulls. Josh Smith netted 22 points and had five rebounds for the Hawks, while Joe Johnson added 14 points and eight assists.

Atlanta played without forward Al Harrington, who missed the game with a bruised left hand. Harrington is questionable for Friday’s contest.

The Hawks are 2-2 in their last four home games and 17-22 at Philips Arena this season.

Charlotte, meanwhile, has lost two of three and seven of its last 10 games, including Wednesday’s 96-88 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Gerald Wallace scored 17 points and added nine boards for the Bobcats. Raymond Felton posted 14 points and 13 assists for his 15th straight game in double figures. Matt Carroll scored 14 points, while Primoz Brezec scored 13 and grabbed nine boards for the Bobcats.

Charlotte is 1-7 in its last eight road games and 7-32 as the visitor this season.
