The 34-year-old Anderson has played in 37 games this season, including 18 starts, and has averaged 5.0 points and 2.6 assists per outing.
The Georgia Tech product was selected by New Jersey with the second overall pick in the 1991 NBA Draft. He has also enjoyed stints with the Charlotte Hornets, Portland, Boston, Seattle, New Orleans and Indiana.
In 852 career games, Anderson has averaged 12.6 points and 6.1 assists per contest.
Meanwhile, the club activated guard Royal Ivey from the injured list. Ivey had been sidelined with tendinitis in his right knee. He has averaged 3.8 points over 25 contests (four starts) this season.
