Jazz welcome LeBron and Cavs to Utah

The Cavaliers come into tonight’s game as the only team in the NBA that has not won a game at the Delta Center. They are 0-12 on the Jazz’ current homecourt. Cleveland’s last win at Utah was on December 11, 1989, a 113-110 overtime victory.

On Thursday, Andrei Kirilenko finished with 26 points and 12 rebounds to lead Utah to a 97-85 win over the Miami Heat in front of its home crowd.

Raul Lopez contributed 13 points off the bench and DeShawn Stevenson chipped in 12 points for the Jazz, who won their third straight overall and their sixth straight versus the Heat.

The Jazz, who have won six straight at home, are an impressive 17-3 as the host this season.

Cleveland plays the finale of its six-game road trip tonight. The Cavs are 1-4 on the current swing.

The Cavaliers were denied their fourth road win of the season on Thursday, as they dropped a 119-102 decision to the Golden State Warriors. James finished with 29 points, six rebounds and six assists, while Eric Williams contributed 21 points in the loss.

James was 4-of-12 from the floor in the first half and ended the game 8-for-21 from the field.

On the injury front, Kedrick Brown missed Thursday’s game with a thigh injury, while Ira Newble was activated from the injured list prior to the game. To make room for Newble on the roster the team placed J.R. Bremer (ankle) on the injured list. Brown is questionable for tonight’s contest.

Cleveland, which has lost six of its last seven on the road, is 3-19 as the visitor this season.

In 2002-03, the teams splits a pair of contests as each club won on its homecourt.
