Jones traded to Bobcats for draft pick

El Segundo, CA (Basketball News) - The Los Angeles Lakers traded forward Jumaine Jones to the Charlotte Bobcats for a 2007 second round draft pick on Wednesday.

The six-year veteran averaged 7.6 points and 5.2 rebounds in 76 games for the Lakers last season. He was acquired on August 13, 2004 as part of the deal that sent Gary Payton to the Boston Celtics.

Jones has averaged 6.6 points and 4.2 rebounds in 377 career games with Philadelphia, Cleveland, Boston and the Lakers.
