Kings welcome Bulls to ARCO Arena

11.23.2003

Sacramento, CA (Basketball News) - The Chicago Bulls have a tough task ahead of them tonight when they travel to Sacramento to meet the Kings at ARCO Arena in the third of a five-game road trip.

The Bulls lost their fourth straight when they were defeated by the Los Angeles Lakers, 101-94, on Friday at Staples Center.

Jamal Crawford posted 23 points for the Bulls.

Chicago comes into tonight’s game with the possibility of a big trade in the works.

The Bulls and Toronto Raptors are reportedly close to a trade that would send swingman Jalen Rose to Toronto. In exchange, Chicago would acquire forward Jerome Williams, guard Alvin Williams and guard/forward Morris Peterson.

A Chicago radio station reported the possible deal on Friday that could also include forward Donyell Marshall going to the Raptors with Toronto center Antonio Davis going to the Bulls.

The Bulls are 3-3 on the road this season.

Brad Miller posted his first career triple-double with 22 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists, as Sacramento extended Orlando’s miserable start with a 122-92 pounding of the Magic at ARCO Arena on Friday.

The Kings have won four straight and improved to 6-0 at home this season.

Mike Bibby scored 21 in the win, while Peja Stojakovic added 18 points. Bobby Jackson contributed 13 points, Darius Songaila chipped in with 11 and Tony Massenburg posted 10 to round out six Sacramento players in double figures.

Miller’s 22 points were a season-high.

In 2002-03, Sacramento won both games against Chicago.

Overall, the Kings have won eight straight meetings.
