(Basketball News) - Kevin Garnett collected 20 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists, as the Minnesota Timberwolves crushed the Denver Nuggets, 98-77, on Sunday at the Target Center.
Sam Cassell and Wally Szczerbiak each contributed 18 points in the win for Minnesota, which has won two in a row after dropping five-of-seven. Latrell Sprewell netted 11 points and Michael Olowokandi added 10 for the Timberwolves.
Garnett became just the 17th player in NBA history to record 13,000 points, 7,000 rebounds and 3,000 assists.
Minnesota is off until Tuesday when it hosts the San Antonio Spurs. It will be the fourth and final meeting of the season between the two teams. The Timberwolves are 1-2 against the Spurs.
Garnett has posted a double-double in five straight and 10 of his last 11 games. He has averaged 23.4 points, 14 rebounds and 4.6 assists in his last 10 contests.
