Atlanta Hawks (11-30) at Chicago Bulls (19-23), 8:30 p.m. ---------------------------------------------------------

(Basketball News) - The Chicago Bulls take aim at their fourth straight win this evening when they conclude a brief two-game homestand against the Atlanta Hawks at the United Center.

On Friday, Ben Gordon poured in a game-high 26 points and pulled down six rebounds to lead Chicago past the Washington Wizards, 90-79.

Tyson Chandler collected 20 rebounds, including 11 at the offensive end, and added 12 points in the win. Luol Deng chipped in 15 points for the Bulls, who have won three straight and four of their last five overall.

The victory pulled Chicago within one half-game of Washington for eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Chicago, which will hit the road for seven games following tonight’s contest, is 9-13 in its building this season.

Atlanta, meanwhile, comes in on a losing note after falling to the Phoenix, Suns, 110-86, on Friday at Philips Arena.

Joe Johnson paced the Hawks with 27 points and seven boards and Al Harrington netted 16 and pulled down 12 rebounds in the loss, Atlanta’s second straight and fourth in its last six games.

Trailing, 104-102, Salim Stoudamire drained a three to put the Hawks up by one point. However, Steve Nash’s shot from beyond the arc with 35 second left put Phoenix up 107-105.

Harrington had a chance to tie the game at the foul line but only hit one free throw. After the Suns scored at the other end, Stoudamire and Tyronn Lue each had open looks from long distance to tie the game but both rimmed out.

Atlanta, which will host the New York Knicks on Monday, is just 3-16 away from home this season.

Chicago took all four meetings with the Hawks last season and has won six of nine and seven of the last 11 matchups. Atlanta has also lost two straight and four of its last five in the Windy City.
