(Basketball News) - Stephen Jackson scored a career-high 42 points and Bob Sura contributed 28 with 10 assists to lead the Atlanta Hawks to a 138-124 victory over the Washington Wizards on Friday at Philips Arena.
Jason Collier also posted a career-high with 22 points for the Hawks, who snapped a four-game skid. Jason Terry added 23 and Chris Crawford had 20, as Atlanta became the first team in the NBA in 11 years to have five players with over 20 points.
The Hawks last had five players with 20 or more points on November 13, 1968 at Seattle.
Jackson ended 14-of-24 from the field, including 4-of-5 from three-point range, and made all 10 of his free throw attempts. Bob Sura was 10-of-11 from the charity stripe.
Atlanta is off until Sunday when it visits the Toronto Raptors. It will be the fourth and final meeting of the season between the two teams. The Hawks are 1-2 against the Raptors.
