Denver, CO (Basketball News) - Marcus Camby compiled 15 points, 10 rebounds and eight blocked shots as the Denver Nuggets downed the San Antonio Spurs, 102-84, at the Pepsi Center.
Earl Boykins came off the bench to score a game-high 23 points for the Nuggets, who have won two straight and nine of 11. Denver remained tied with Memphis for seventh place in the Western Conference, with the Nuggets holding the tiebreaker.
Tony Parker poured in 17 points as the Spurs saw their winning streak snapped at three games. San Antonio, which is still without the injured Tim Duncan, fell two games behind Phoenix in the race for the top seed out of the West.
Manu Ginoboli scored 13 points in the loss, but went just 1-of-8 from the field. He was 10-of-12 from the foul line.
Carmelo Anthony chipped in 18 points while Nene had 13 and Andre Miller 12 for Denver, which jumped out to a 27-14 lead after one quarter of play.
The Nuggets went into halftime with a 50-38 lead, but San Antonio pulled to within seven at 67-60 on a pair of free throws by Dion Glover with 2:21 remaining in the third.
Denver entered the fourth with a 73-62 advantage and maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the way, going up by as many as 21 points at 95-74 on a layup by Miller with 3:07 to play.
