Thompson averaged 26.5 points on 88.9 percent three-point field goal shootin and also posted her first double-double of the season as she helped Houston to a perfect 2-0 mark on the week.
For the season, the multi-year all-star has averaged 19.8 points and 6.2 rebounds.
Other candidates for this week’s award were Connecticut’s Nykesha Sales, Detroit’s Swin Cash, New York’s Becky Hammon, Phoenix’s Penny Taylor, Sacramento’s DeMya Walker and Washington’s Alana Beard.
