Blizzard postpones Suns-Nuggets game 12.20.2006

No makeup date has yet been announced.
This is the first time the Nuggets have canceled a game since April 20, 1999, after the shootings at Columbine High School.
The postponement and snowy weather delayed Allen Iverson’s arrival to the Mile High City. On Tuesday, Iverson was traded from the Sixers to the Nuggets for guard Andre Miller, forward Joe Smith and a pair of first-round draft picks in return for the enigmatic superstar as well as seldom-used forward Ivan McFarlin.
A seven-time All Star and four-time scoring champion, Iverson is expected to bring an immediate boost to the Nuggets, who will be without star Carmelo Anthony for the next 14 games due to a suspension stemming from Saturday night’s brawl at Madison Square Garden.
Iverson’s first game with the Nuggets is expected to be Friday night at home against Sacramento.
The Suns will have to wait until Friday to try and extend their 15-game franchise-record winning streak. Phoenix hosts Washington Friday.
