Cavs closeout dismal road trip against Jazz

Cleveland is 0-5 on its trip. On Friday, Jason Richardson and Mike Dunleavy both scored 22 points to lead the Golden State Warriors over the Cavaliers, 99-79, at The Arena in Oakland.

Drew Gooden, who had been bothered with a leg injury, led Cleveland with 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in the loss to the Warriors, while center Zydrunas Ilgauskas posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds in defeat.

LeBron James had one of his worst nights of the season, as he finished with 14 points on 5-of-22 shooting from the floor. The All-Star guard did grab nine rebounds and dished out six assists.

Cleveland is just 6-12 on the road this season. The Cavaliers return home on Tuesday to host the Indiana Pacers.

The Jazz also try to get back on the winning track as it begins a three-game homestand tonight. On Friday, Carmelo Anthony poured in a game-high 31 points on 11-of-22 shooting from the floor as the Denver Nuggets dominated Utah, 113-83, at the Pepsi Center.

Devin Brown came off the bench to score 23 points in the loss to the Nuggets for the Jazz, who have lost three of their last four games overall. Forward Andrei Kirilenko struggled from the field as he was 5-of-15 shooting for 11 points.

Utah, which will also host New Jersey and Seattle on the stand, is 9-9 as the host this season. The Jazz have won six of their last seven games at the Delta Center.

This is the second and final meeting of the season between the clubs. On December 20th, Damon Jones scored all 12 of his points on 4-of-6 from beyond the arc during the game-breaking third quarter, as the Cavaliers crushed the Utah Jazz, 110-85, at Quicken Loans Arena.

Cleveland has won three straight and five of the last six meetings in this series. The Cavaliers have won two straight after losing their last 13 at Utah.
