=== Chicago Bulls Team Report - December 5 ===

(Basketball News) - The Chicago Bulls were handed a 95-88 setback by the Washington Wizards in Saturday night’s game at the MCI Center. Gilbert Arenas poured in a season-high 34 points to lead Washington.

Tyson Chandler pulled down 21 rebounds and was one of three Chicago players, along with Kirk Hinrich and Eddy Curry to record 15 points.

Andres Nocioni scored 16 to pace the Bulls, who lost their second game in as many nights and are off to a dismal 2-12 start to the season. Only the New Orleans Hornets (1-14) have less wins than Chicago this year.

The teams were tied 81-81 with four minutes to play before the Wizards reeled off seven straight points to move ahead to stay. Washington went ahead on Brendan Haywood’s dunk at the 2:35 mark and extended the lead to four points on two Antawn Jamison free throws on their next trip down the court. Jared Jeffries then buried a three-pointer with one minute left to seal the win.

The Bulls will begin a five-game homestand Monday against the San Antonio Spurs. Cleveland, Philadelphia, Minnesota and Dallas will also visit the Windy City during the stretch.
