Christie, a 14-year veteran, averaged 3.7. points and 2.6 assists in seven games with the Dallas Mavericks last season.
Throughout his career, Christie has averaged 11.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game in 820 games with the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Toronto Raptors, Sacramento Kings, Orlando Magic and Dallas.
Christie has also scored 9.5 points and grabbed 4.9 rebounds in 58 career playoff games.
He was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team in 2003 and was named to the Second Team in 2001, 2002 and 2004, all with the Kings.
