Denver Nuggets Team Report - December 27 12.27.2004
|
(Basketball News) - Denver has hit the skids with five straight losses and seven defeats in its last eight games. The Nuggets’ recent struggles continued on Sunday night, as they fell 102-88 to Dallas at the Pepsi Center.
Andre Miller paced Denver with 18 points and eight assists, while Earl Boykins netted 16 points for the Nuggets.
Denver played without star forward Carmelo Anthony for the fourth straight game. Meanwhile, starting forward Kenyon Martin was forced to sit out the second half with a strained back. Martin finished with 15 points, as did teammate Greg Buckner.
Anthony is doubtful for tonight’s game, while Martin is likely to play for the Nuggets.
The Nuggets will try to improve their 4-8 road record tonight, when they battle the Golden State Warriors at The Arena.
This is the first meeting between these teams on the year. Denver won three of four last season, but fell 96-87 in Oakland in their last contest on February 6. The Warriors have won five of eight and eight of their last 12 meetings.
