(Basketball News) - Carmelo Anthony scored a career-high 41 points to lead the Denver Nuggets to a 124-119 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics on Tuesday in a high-scoring matchup at the Pepsi Center.
Nene scored 19 points and Andre Miller posted 14 points and 16 assists for Denver, which snapped a two-game slide and moved into a tie for the eighth and final playoff spot in the West with the idle Utah Jazz.
Marcus Camby added 15 points in the victory.
On the injury front guard Voshon Lenard missed his third straight game with a ribcage problem and is questionable for Friday’s game against the Houston Rockets.
Denver is trying to become the first team in NBA history to reach the postseason after winning less than 20 games the previous year.
The Nuggets have won four straight games at home and is 26-12 in the Rockies this season.
