Francis sprains ankle

03.28.2007

New York, NY (Basketball News) - New York Knicks guard Steve Francis left Wednesday’s game against Cleveland in the first quarter with a sprained right ankle.

After having notched seven points and three assists through the game’s first 10 minutes, Francis tried to make a move to his right but bumped into the leg of LeBron James, falling to the floor in pain. He had to be helped off the court.

Already shorthanded from injury, New York was without Jamal Crawford (ankle), David Lee (leg) and Quentin Richardson (back).
