The Warriors host the red-hot Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday at The Arena in Oakland. It is the second meeting of the season between the clubs this season. On December 30th, Baron Davis netted a season-high 34 points and scored the winning basket with under one second left, as the Warriors beat the Mavericks, 111-109, at the American Airlines Center.
Dallas has scored over 100 points in 19 of the last 20 contests against the Warriors. The teams have split the last four meetings, while The Mavericks have won two straight and 11 of their last 12 at Golden State.
On Monday, Elton Brand poured in 28 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a 96-93 win over the Warriors at The Arena in Oakland.
Jason Richardson ended with 30 points, five rebounds and four assists in the loss to the Clippers for Golden State. Troy Murphy finished with 16 points and 20 boards, Davis had 13 points and 10 assists and Mike Dunleavy contributed 10 points and 12 rebounds.
The Warriors are 11-11 at home this season. They have lost eight of their last 11 games as the host.
Richardson, who leads the Warriors in scoring (22.9 ppg), has scored more than 20 points in five straight games. He is averaging 27.6 points contest in that span.
Golden State has scored over 100 points in just two of its last 10 games. The Warriors are 6-15 when they allow 100 or points.
