(Basketball News) - Jason Richardson tied a season-high with 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Golden State to an easy 98-85 win over Chicago on Wednesday at The Arena.
Richardson, who has 27 points in each of his last three games, also had four assists, recorded three steals and blocked two shots in the win.
Troy Murphy added 17 points and hauled in eight boards for the Warriors, who have won two of three games after an 0-6 start to the season. Speedy Claxton contributed 14 points and 11 assists in the win.
Derek Fisher scored 13 points in 17 minutes off the bench and did not miss a shot. He was 4-of-4 from the field and 2-of-2 from the free throw line. As a team, the Warriors shot 44 percent (37-of-84) last night, marking the first time they have shot better than 40 percent at home this season.
All the news was not good, though, as forward Eduardo Najera left the game with a left shoulder strain. He is listed as day-to-day.
Golden State plays the second of its four-game homestand against the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday. Also visiting the Arena on this stand will be New Orleans and the LA Clippers.
