Hornets’ Davis sidelined with back injury

New Orleans, LA (Basketball News) - New Orleans Hornets guard Baron Davis did not make the trip to Milwaukee for Saturday’s game against the Bucks because of a strained lower back.

Davis, who is listed as day-to-day, suffered the injury during the fourth quarter of Friday’s loss to Atlanta. He finished with 18 points and seven assists, as New Orleans fell to 0-5 on the season.

The 25-year-old Davis is averaging 24.6 points, 8.0 assists and 3.8 rebounds through five games this season.
