Iverson receives positive news on shoulder

Iverson sat out Sunday’s practice with his arm in a sling, but received good news that the X-rays taken on his injured shoulder were negative.

In Thursday’s victory over Seattle, Iverson hit the scorer’s table hard with his shoulder while running after a loose ball. He played the following night in Los Angeles in a loss to the Lakers but felt pain causing him to get an X- ray later that night.

"He does have soreness and range of motion right now is a problem for him," interim coach Chris Ford said. "We all know when game time comes, he usually (can overcome it). So, we’ll wait and see until tomorrow."

Iverson is averaging 27.4 points and 6.6 assists this year for the struggling Sixers.
