Jazz forward Boozer likely done for season 03.30.2005

Boozer is hampered by a right foot injury sustained during a loss against Phoenix on February 14. Boozer, who was placed on the injured list March 2, strained his foot in the 136-128 setback versus the Suns and hasn’t hit the hardwood since.
The former Duke star is the franchise’s highest-paid free agent acquisition in team history. Utah’s prize pick has missed the last 19 games and has been sporting a protective boot. Surgery has been ruled out for the time being, according to trainer Gary Briggs.
Boozer, 26, has started 51 games this season and is averaging 17.8 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists per contest. A second-round pick of the Cavaliers in the 2002 draft, Boozer earns almost $11 million per campaign.
Utah is already without another star player in Andrei Kirilenko. Kirilenko suffered a broken left wrist in an 85-84 loss to the Washington Wizards on March 24 and is finished for the season.
In their last 13 games, the Jazz have endured a nine-game losing streak (3/4 - 3/19) and have lost two of their last three contests.
