Orlando has dropped three straight and suffered a 119-108 loss to the Charlotte Bobcats on Monday in North Carolina. Dwight Howard finished with 26 points and 11 boards for Orlando, which has lost 10 of its last 12 games.
Jameer Nelson had 17 points, eight rebounds and five assists, while Hedo Turkoglu added 23 points and six rebounds in the win. Orlando, though, is just a game off the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
The Magic will also host Sacramento and are 19-13 at Amway Arena this season. On the injury front for Orlando, guard Keyon Dooling (undisclosed) is questionable for Wednesday’s game.
Utah, meanwhile, had its six-game winning streak halted in Tuesday’s opener of a four-game road trip against the Miami Heat at AmericanAirlines Arena.
Carlos Boozer had 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Northwest Division-leading Jazz, who are fourth in the West and 18-13 away from Salt Lake City this season. Mehmet Okur added 19 points and 10 rebounds in a losing cause.
The Jazz will also visit Philadelphia and Cleveland on its trip.
Wednesday’s showdown between Utah and Orlando is the second and final meeting of the season. The Magic won the first encounter, 88-75, on November 27 at EnergySolutions Arena.
Orlando has won five of six and seven of the last 10 meetings. Utah has lost three straight and four of its last five at Orlando.
