On Tuesday, Hedo Turkoglu poured in a season-high 30 points and Dwight Howard recorded 22 points and 12 rebounds, as the streaking Magic defeated the Phoenix Suns 111-102 at TD Waterhouse Centre.
Steve Francis compiled 15 points, six rebounds and six assists and DeShawn Stevenson added 12 points, as Orlando earned its second four-game winning streak of the season.
The Magic, who also won four in a row from November 23-28, continued to play without guard Jameer Nelson (foot), who starred at St. Joseph’s in Philadelphia, and forwards Grant Hill (hernia) and Bo Outlaw (knee), as well as center Kelvin Cato (ankle). Outlaw could return tonight, while the other three will likely remain sidelined.
Orlando, which will close this trip in New York on Friday, is 5-13 away from home this season.
Philadelphia, meanwhile, comes in on a winning note also after Allen Iverson poured in 41 points to pace the Philadelphia 76ers to a 109-103 victory over Sacramento on Tuesday.
Chris Webber had 17 points and 13 rebounds against his former team, as Philadelphia won its third in a row and swept the Kings in both meetings this season for the first time since March of 1989.
Samuel Dalembert contributed eight points, 13 rebounds and four blocked shots, while Kyle Korver came off the bench to score 14 points for the Sixers. Andre Iguodala scored 11 points and hit a key three-pointer with just under two minutes left.
The Sixers, who will close a three-game road trip against the Knicks on Saturday, are 14-7 in their arena this season.
Philadelphia split its four matchups with the Magic last season, but has lost four of the last six meetings. Orlando, though, has dropped four of its last five in the City of Brotherly Love.
