(Basketball News) - James Posey poured in a game-high 32 points to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 109-99 win over Phoenix at The Pyramid. Jason Williams chipped in 17 points and handed out nine assists for the Grizzlies, who won for the seventh straight game.
With the win, Memphis remained 1 1/2 games behind San Antonio for the fourth spot in the Western Conference playoff race.
Stromile Swift added 11 points and nine rebounds in the winning effort.
On the injury front center Lorenzen Wright returned to the lineup after missing the previous 13 games with a knee injury and netted seven points and six rebounds in 17 minutes.
However, Bonzi Wells left the game with back spasms in the second half. He is questionable for Sunday’s game against Minnesota.
The Grizz, who will kick off a brief two-game road trip on Sunday, have won seven of eight and eight of their last 10 on the road and is 19-17 away from home this season.
Memphis has split its two matchups with the T-Wolves this season, but have dropped 17 of 19 and 27 of the last 30 meetings. The Grizzlies have also been atrocious on the road in this series and are 2-15 all-time in Minnesota.
