Memphis Grizzlies Team Report - December 23

(Basketball News) - The Memphis Grizzlies will have their hands full tonight, when they visit the red-hot Phoenix Suns at America West Arena.

Memphis comes into tonight’s test on a losing note after dropping a 109-99 decision to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday at The Arena.

James Posey scored 22 points with seven rebounds to lead the Grizzlies, who had a three-game win streak halted. Pau Gasol added 19 points in the loss, and Stromile Swift had 18 in 25 minutes off the bench.

Memphis, which will be wrapping up a four-game road trip tonight, is 5-9 away from home this season.

The Suns split their four matchups with the Grizzlies last season and have won four of the last six and six of the last nine meetings. Memphis has also dropped four straight and 13 of its last 14 in Phoenix.
