Memphis Grizzlies Team Report - November 7

(Basketball News) - The Memphis Grizzlies lost to the Dallas Mavericks 112-88 on Saturday at American Airlines Center.

Pau Gasol scored 18 points while Stromile Swift had 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who scored 35 points in the first quarter but were held to 35 points in the entire second half.

Memphis starting guard Bonzi Wells was held to just five points on 2-of-9 shooting. He handed out six assists in the loss.

The Grizzlies have dropped eight straight at Dallas.

Gasol has averaged 18.7 points and 6.3 rebounds in his firts three games of the season, while Swift has registered 13.3 points and nine boards per contest.

Memphis is off until Tuesday when it visits Tracy McGrady and the Houston Rockets. Last season, the teams split for games.
