(Basketball News) - The Heat posted a 105-96 victory over the Chicago Bulls at AmericanAirlines Arena Monday night.
Caron Butler scored a season-high 30 points and grabbed a career-best 13 rebounds to pace the Heat to the win. Dwyane Wade contributed 21 points and seven assists for the Heat, who have won nine in a row at home and moved within a half game of Milwaukee for sixth place in the Eastern Conference. Eddie Jones added 18 points in the win.
The Heat trailed by four at halftime and were down by three, 75-72, after three quarters. Brian Grant, however, hit a 16-foot jumper with 4:42 to play to give Miami an 87-86 edge. Miami would not trail again.
Rafer Alston has made a three-pointer in 40 straight games. Alston finished with eight points in the contest. Udonis Haslem tallied 12 points and 10 boards in the win.
Lamar Odom sat out Monday’s game with a right knee bruise sustained in Friday’s victory over Dallas. Odom had missed only one game this season.
Miami’s nine-game home winning streak ties the second-longest in team history.
The Heat have a day off before facing the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena on Wednesday night. Miami’s next three contests will be in foreign gyms. For the year, Miami is 10-26 on the road.
