=== Minnesota Timberwolves Team Report - December 16 ===

(Basketball News) - The Minnesota Timberwolves found themselves on the wrong end of a 96-90 decision against the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre.

With Minnesota ahead by three at the start of the final stanza, the teams traded blows early until the Wolves went cold and Donyell Marshall’s shot from long range propelled Toronto on a 16-2 burst.

Chris Bosh was the catalyst during the rally, outworking Garnett inside for two buckets in the paint, the latter pushing the cushion to 91-81 with 3 1/2 minutes remaining. Morris Peterson added a three for good measure to hand the Raptors their biggest lead of the night at 94-83.

During the same stretch, Minnesota was held without a field goal for over 6 1/2 minutes as Garnett’s two free throws on Matt Bonner’s flagrant foul accounted for the team’s only points.

Bonner was ejected for the flagrant two foul that knocked Garnett on his back. Latrell Sprewell immediately came to the aid of the fallen Garnett, but the officials were able to maintain control.

Garnett drained a three with just under a minute remaining to narrow the gap to 94-88, but that was as close as the Wolves would get.

Minny returns to action on Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers.
