NBA fines Bowen and Haslem 03.28.2006

Bowen was fined for kicking Seattle’s Ray Allen in the back midway through the second quarter of Sunday’s 106-102 Sonics win at Key Arena. Allen was called for an offensive foul, as he and Bowen both fell to the floor. Bowen used his right foot to give Allen a small kick to the back.
Haslem was fined for removing his jersey after being ejected during Monday’s 96-91 Miami win at home over Indiana.
The game turned ugly with 5:25 left in the second quarter when Haslem and Jermaine O’Neal got involved in a pushing and shouting match. This came after Haslem rebounded a missed jumper from Indiana’s Danny Granger.
Shaquille O’Neal innocently put his left hand around Jermaine O’Neal’s neck. After the officials consulted, Haslem was whistled for an offensive foul, but the Miami forward was incensed at the call and was ejected after arguing with Ron Garretson. Haslem took off his shirt and threw it on the court in disgust as he headed to the locker room.
"I didn’t initiate it," Haslem said after the game. "Why would I initiate it, I got the rebound. He chested up and looked in my eye. It’s a man thing; if you’re going to look me in the eye, I’m going to look you back in the eye.
"I said one thing to the referee, ’that’s a terrible call’ and I walked away and he threw me out. I’ve heard worse things said to the officials."
