(Basketball News) - The Dallas Mavericks lost to the Philadelphia 76ers, 107-98, on Monday at the Wachovia Center.
The Mavericks trail the first-place Minnesota Timberwolves by four games in the Midwest Division. Dallas sits in fifth place in the Western Conference playoff race.
Dirk Nowitzki poured in 30 points in the loss to pace Dallas. Antawn Jamison chipped in 14 points for the Mavericks, who had a two-game winning streak halted.
Dallas head coach Don Nelson was ejected just 33 seconds into the third quarter after receiving two technical fouls. He was upset when no foul was called on Samuel Dalembert after he collided with Nowitzki.
The Mavericks are off until Wednesday when they visit Ron Artest and the Indiana Pacers. Earlier this season, the Mavs fell to the Pacers, 92-80, on January 9th at American Airlines Center.
Nowitzki has scored at least 21 points in five straight games. He has averaged 27.4 points and 8.6 rebounds in that span.
