Minneapolis, MN (Basketball News) - Wally Szczerbiak scored a game-high 19 points to lift the Minnesota Timberwolves over the Chicago Bulls, 100-92, in preseason action from the Target Center.
Rashad McCants netted 15 points in the win, while Michael Olowokandi and Eddie Griffin posted 13 points each.
The Timberwolves played without All-Star forward Kevin Garnett, who sat out with a sore left ankle.
Mike Sweetney led Chicago with 18 points and 10 rebounds and Luol Deng notched 18 points and eight boards.
Chris Duhon suffered a scary injury in the first quarter when he was fouled hard by Griffin and hit his head on the floor. He was taken off the floor on a stretcher.
