Monarchs guard to sit with shoulder injury

Lawson suffered a left shoulder subluxation during Tuesday’s game against the Phoenix Mercury. X-rays were negative.

In 24 games this season, Lawson has averaged 8.0 points and 1.5 assists. She also missed seven games in May and June because of a sprained left ankle.

The Monarchs are 24-8 this season and will head to the playoffs as the top seed in the Western Conference.
