"Joel is a young man that has demonstrated the ability to rebound and block shots especially when given the opportunity to play last season in Atlanta," said Trail Blazers general manager John Nash. "We would welcome those attributes to our team."
In four career NBA seasons and 153 games , the 24-year-old has turned in per- game averages of 2.1 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks.
Przybilla played two years at the University of Minnesota before becoming the first round selection of the Houston Rockets with the ninth overall pick.
