Boston Celtics Team Report - February 18 02.18.2004

(Basketball News) - The Boston Celtics started the second half right where they left off the first half on Tuesday, as they found themselves on the wrong end of a 127-111 decision to the Sacramento Kings at Arco Arena.
Ricky Davis shot a scorching 11-of-12 from the field, recording a game-high 32 points off the bench as the Celtics dropped their third game in a row. Paul Pierce pitched in with 27 points while Walter McCarty added 19 for Boston, which has also lost nine of its last ten contests.
Boston fell to just 1-8 under new head coach John Carroll.
A leak in the roof briefly delayed the game in the third quarter when water began to collect in a spot near midcourt. A ball boy sat near the spot with a towel for the rest of the game.
Boston, which played the fourth leg of a seven-game stretch on the road, has dropped five of six and seven of nine on the road and is 12-15 away from home this season.
The Celtics, who defeated Sacramento earlier in the year, have dropped nine of their last 11 to the Kings and have lost eight in a row in Sacramento.
