Bucks, Timberwolves clash at Target Center

11.25.2005

(Basketball News) - The Milwaukee Bucks attempt to win their second straight game, as they visit Kevin Garnett and the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight at the Target Center.

This is the first of two meetings between the clubs this season. The Bucks are scheduled to host Minnesota on January 10, 2006 at the Bradley Center.

The Timberwolves have won 11 of the last 12 meetings in this series. Minnesota has lost six in a row at Minnesota.

Michael Redd had 32 points, nine rebounds and seven assists to lead the Bucks to a 108-97 come-from-behind win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday at the Bradley Center.

Joe Smith contributed 18 points and a game-high 13 rebounds in the win over Philadelphia for the Bucks, whose 9-0 run early in the fourth quarter ended a two-game losing streak. Bobby Simmons netted 15 points in the victory.

The Bucks, who will return home after tonight’s contest to host Detroit and Dallas at the Bradley Center, are 3-3 on the road this season.

Minnesota hopes to bounce back from a tough loss. On Wednesday, rookie phenom Chris Paul finished with 21 points, nine rebounds and eight assists to rally the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets past the Timberwolves, 84-80, at the Ford Center.

The All-Star Garnett had a game-high 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and handed out five assists in the loss to the Hornets for Minnesota, which dropped to 0-4 on the road. Troy Hudson contributed 17 points off the bench, while center Michael Olowokandi scored 11 points in defeat.

The Timberwolves are 5-1 at the Target Center this season. Their only loss at home was on November 15th against the Houston Rockets, 94-89.

Minnesota is scheduled to return to the court on Saturday when it visits LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
