(Basketball News) - The Chicago Bulls were defeated by the Washington Wizards, 95-87, on Thursday at the MCI Center.
Kirk Hinrich led the Bulls with 23 points, shooting 5-of-8 from three-point land, and had seven assists, as Chicago dropped its fourth straight. Eddy Curry tallied 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulls, who have dropped six of their last eight games.
After Hinrich hit a three-pointer to tie the game at 75-75 just 30 seconds into the fourth quarter, the Wizards responded with a 17-3 run to clinch the contest. Kwame Brown hit a jumper with two minutes remaining to cap the spurt, which saw Brown and Gilbert Arenas combine for eight points.
After missing his first two three-pointers, Hinrich hit five straight until missing from behind the arc with 8:25 remaining in the contest. He finished 9- of-17 from the field.
Chicago has lost six straight at Washington.
Hinrich has scored in double digits in six straight games, and is averaging 18.7 points, four rebounds and 8.2 assists in that span. Curry is averaging 18.1 points and 6.9 rebounds in his last 10 contests.
The Bulls are off until Saturday when they host the Golden State Warriors. Earlier this season, Chicago was blown out by the Warriors, 101-81, on January 30th at the Arena in Oakland.
