(Basketball News) - The Cleveland Cavaliers failed in their attempt at back- to-back wins on Tuesday when they found themselves on the losing end of a 100-93 decision to the Toronto Raptors.
LeBron James led Cleveland with 18 points and Zydrunas Ilgauskas chipped in 17. Ira Newble added 16 points and a game-high 10 rebounds for the Cavs, who lost for the ninth time in 10 games.
Cleveland trailed 79-73 heading into to the fourth quarter, and got the Raptors’ advantage down to four points at 85-81 on a pair of Ilgauskas free throws midway through the frame.
But a 9-3 run by the Raptors, capped by a Chris Bosh dunk, opened up a 10- point lead at 94-84 with less than four minutes to go, and the Cavs never got closer than within five points the rest of the way.
Cleveland is 5-4 at home this season and will host the Boston Celtics on Saturday.
