The Rockets come into tonight’s game off a loss. Houston was defeated by the Portland Trail Blazers, 85-78, on Friday at the Rose Garden.
Yao Ming led the Rockets with 21 points, but scored just two points in the fourth quarter. Cuttino Mobley had 17 for Houston, which had its two-game winning streak halted.
Houston’s Steve Francis scored just four points on 2-of-9 shooting against the Blazers.
The Rockets, who are trying to avoid losing consecutive games for the first time this season, are 3-3 as the visitor this season.
The Clippers lost their third in a row Saturday, falling to the Minnesota Timberwolves, 103-91, at the Target Center.
Quentin Richardson poured in a career-high 36 points for the Clippers in the loss to the Timberwolves.
LA played poor defense on Saturday, allowing Minnesota to hit 52 percent (43- of-82) of its shots from the field.
The Clippers are 2-1 as the host this season.
