Denver Nuggets Team Report - November 18 11.18.2004
|
(Basketball News) - Carmelo Anthony poured in a team-high 30 points and Kenyon Martin scored 24 points with a season-high 16 rebounds, leading the Denver Nuggets over the Toronto Raptors, 112-106, on Wednesday at the Pepsi Center.
Anthony finished 16-of-16 from the line — a Pepsi Center record — while Andre Miller chipped in with 14 points, seven boards and seven assists. DerMarr Johnson contributed 12 points and Earl Boykins netted 11 off the bench in the win, the second in the games for Denver.
Prior to the game, Anthony had marijuana charges dropped by the city district attorney. Anthony, who was cited in October for possession before boarding a team flight, stated that the substance was left there in his bag by a friend.
Anthony has scored 20 or more points in four straight games. He has averaged 28 points in that span.
The Nuggets are off until Friday when they host the struggling Chicago Bulls. Last season, Denver swept the two contests between the clubs.
