(Basketball News) - The Detroit Pistons lost their second straight game on Thursday, as they lost to the San Antonio Spurs, 84-75, at the SBC Center.
Detroit, which beat the Spurs earlier this season, was led by Rasheed Wallace’s 17 points and 14 boards. Rip Hamilton added 15 points for the Pistons, who have dropped two in a row after winning eight straight.
Chauncey Billups, who had 18 points in first meeting between these two teams, had only four points on 1-of-7 shooting.
The Pistons are in second place in the Central Division, seven games behind the Indiana Pacers.
Detroit is off until Saturday when it hosts Stephon Marbury and the New York Knicks. It will be the fourth and final meeting of the season between the two teams. The Pistons are 2-1 against the Knicks.
Wallace has scored in double digits in 12 straight games. He has averaged 16.5 points and 6.9 rebounds in that span.
