Grizzlies, Sixers square off in Memphis 01.17.2007

This is the first of two meetings between the clubs this season. The Sixers are scheduled to host Memphis on March 2nd at the Wachovia Center.
Philadelphia has won seven of its last 10 at the Grizzlies. The 76ers have won two in a row in this series.
The Sixers enter tonight’s contest on a two-game losing streak. On Monday, Chris Bosh scored 27 points on 11-of-14 from the field as the Toronto Raptors crushed Philadelphia, 104-86, at the Wachovia Center.
Andre Iguodala had 15 points in the loss to Toronto for the 76ers, who have lost six of their last seven games overall. Willie Green and Samuel Dalembert both scored 13 points, while rookie Rodney Carney finished with 11 in defeat.
Philadelphia is a dismal 5-19 on the road this season. The 76ers return home to host the Miami Heat on Friday.
Memphis has dropped three straight contests. Amare Stoudemire posted a season- high 42 points and grabbed nine rebounds, as the red-hot Phoenix Suns got picked up a 137-122 victory over the Grizzlies on Monday at the FedExForum.
Mike Miller scored 25 points for the Grizzlies, who have lost five of their last six games overall. Pau Gasol posted 23 points, nine boards and seven assists, while Damon Stoudamire had 17 points and nine assists in the loss to Phoenix.
The Grizzlies are just 7-13 at home this season. After tonight’s game they embark on a four-game road trip. Memphis will visit the Clippers, Denver, Utah and San Antonio.
